How to fill the day during Quarantine

Drama and Creativity

It can seem very overwhelming to try and negotiate this pandemic as well as your children. I want to help as much as I can by providing a daily blog of activities to keep your days rain and fun.

Todays theme is Drama and creativity.... I mean, as a drama therapist, I had to start here. Below are a few ideas and links for things you can do together as well as some independent activities.

Arts and Crafts:

  • Make your own stuffed animal: https://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Stuffed-Animal

    • Any kind of drawing or painting. (make a make-ship art museum wall in your house that can showcase what you have made that day

    • Self portraits on blank faces: https://www.timvandevall.com/shape-templates/blank-face-templates/

Puppets :

Forts:

  • Take all the blankets around the house and build a fort

  • Take all the recycling and build a fort

Clay and slime:

Scrapbooking:

  • - family photos

  • - card making

Singing/ Music:

  • - If you type in your favourite song to YouTube with the word karaoke at the end, you will be able to get the sing along version. You could have a karaoke party at home.

  • - Have a dance party. The kids can DJ
